The Texas Murugan Temple cordially invites all devotees to observe the most sacred night of Maha Sivarathri, dedicated to Lord Shiva, with continuous Abhishekam and Pooja throughout the night. Sivarathri is a highly auspicious occasion symbolizing the triumph of spiritual awareness over ignorance and darkness.

On this divine night, devotees engage in fasting, prayer, meditation, and night-long worship, staying awake in devotion to receive Lord Shiva’s boundless grace. It is believed that sincere worship on Sivarathri helps cleanse past karmas, grants inner peace, and leads the soul toward spiritual liberation.

Throughout the night, Lord Shiva will be worshipped with multiple Abhishekams using sacred offerings such as milk, honey, ghee, curd, tender coconut water, sandal paste, turmeric water, and holy water. Each offering signifies purification, devotion, healing, and divine nourishment.

The rituals will be performed as per traditional Saiva Agama procedures, accompanied by powerful chanting of Rudram, Chamakam, Panchakshara Mantras, and Shiva Stotras. The spiritually charged atmosphere during the whole-night pooja allows devotees to experience deep devotion, calmness, and divine connection.
